2009/05 Poster Festival Ljubljana, 1st european youth poster competition on a social topic

From 11 to 16 May 2009 the Brumen Foundation was hosting an international graphic event on the topic of Climate Change. This was the main accompanying event of the 4th biennale of visual communications in Slovenia.

I entered the workshop for students (mentor: Annik Troxler, Switzerland) which took place at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. The posters in the workshop were created by hand with no aid of computers.

The main goal of the festival was to communicate to the world about important socio-political messages concerning the critical ecological situation in the world, using posters as the medium.

Our future depends on each and every one's awareness. Today it is time to think about what we can change and how we must interact with nature around us.

Created posters are displayed at the exhibition (moving all around Europe), presented in the catalogue and web gallery and will become a courtesy of Brumen Foundation. The partners of Brumen Foundation are university-level design institutions in Groningen (me!), Helsinki, Warsaw, Zagreb and Ljubljana.
